MidEvils

They're Only Half Evil

Started as 5,000 illustrated NFTs on Solana by Infinite Fun — now deflationary through narrative-driven burns. Not a passive income generator. An art project built on craftsmanship, community, and the tension between medieval and modern.

Why MidEvils

MidEvils has proven that great brands, great art, and great collector experiences never go out of style — regardless of market conditions.

"There's a lot of reasons that NFTs have 'died' over the past year and a half… but the art was never the reason."

In fact all the "corny" stuff — building a collection, commissioning someone to paint your PFP, getting excited about the lore, meeting up with your homies at an event — that was the meat the whole time. That's still the real value.

"And so that's why we made MidEvils. So that we could try to bring some of that fun and love back to NFTs."

The Art

The illustrated collection is the best work Infinite Fun has ever done — paired with a 10 out of 10 collector experience. They believe the best way to create lasting web3 art activations is to match the physical experience with the digital.

8 Months in the Making

It started with simple medieval-themed characters drawn because they were cool and fun. The tagline "They're only half evil" had a funny — and yet truthful — ring to it.

The early characters were disproportional and looked a little too cooked. Eyes too round, anatomy off. So the team went back to the drawing board.

They fixed the jaw so it didn't protrude so far, made the eyes bigger and more "smug," and fixed the posture — giving the character more of an apathetic, chill look. More grounded in reality.

After going through over 100 character drawings, they locked in the direction: a world big enough for a large-scale generative collection.

We built MidEvils into a large scale generative collection because we felt confident that the world was BIG enough for it. We knew we wanted to work within the MidEvils world for quite some time — so we wanted to create a collection and atmosphere that was ripe for growth.
The Balance: Each MidEvil has a little bit of "medieval" and a little bit of "modern." When creating a generative collection, you need a fine balance of traits that live in the world of Midland and traits based in our reality. The goal: every single MidEvil has some kind of zany medieval-styled trait and some kind of normal, relatable trait — so a holder can find themselves in their PFP.

Born from the Burn, Forged in Battle

MidEvils are built on four races: Man represents the mind, Beast the body and raw emotion, Ghost the spirit, and Orc — born from the burn events, forged in battle. It is how we delegate these natures within our day-to-day lives that defines who we are.

Humans aren't perfect — in fact we are far from it. But we also have this side of us that is loving, caring… divine? People often say the greatest human experiences lie in the tension between all three.
Above the Surface — What Collectors See

The PFP itself — your character, your traits, your identity in Midland.

Below the Surface — The Full World

"The Iceberg" is a metaphor Infinite Fun uses when creating the world. They build the entire iceberg even though people will only engage with the top. Ideally a collector can look at the collection as a whole and see or feel the story baked in underneath.

The Community

MidEvils launched in October 2025 during a market downturn. While most projects have faded, this community has only grown stronger. Here's what makes it different.

Transparent Founders

Johnny and Candy Apple have run weekly townhalls since day one — not corporate updates, but honest conversations where they show up like friends. They share the roadmap openly, admit what's hard, and celebrate wins together.

Building in the Bear

Launched during the downturn with conviction, not copium. Four months later, The community is stronger than ever. Holders see accumulation opportunities where others see risk. Real builders, not flippers.

Culture Over Hype

Self-deprecating humor ("Mid" is in the name), a "steak not stake" philosophy, and authenticity over empty promises. The lore, the art, and the people — that's the value.

Sub-DAOs & Governance

Five community-led Sub-DAOs, each with their own identity and treasury: The Horde, Risen Covenant, Fool's Gold, Beasts, and The Iron Order. Governance from the ground up.

"It's only been three months, and I was like, shit. Does it not feel like a small and arduous lifetime to you?" — Hawk, MidEvils Townhall
"If you build it, they will come… but it's not going to look sexy the whole time." — Sir Candy Apple, Co-Founder
"New characters may enter the arena. And they might be older than the Mids themselves." — Johnny, Co-Founder

Burns & Collectibles

MidEvils' signature mechanic: narrative-driven burn events that permanently reduce supply and create new collectibles. "If it's not cool enough to burn, we didn't do our job."

The Orc Wars

The Orc Wars

600 MidEvils entered 2-on-1 combat against bloodthirsty Orcs. The resulting war was devastatingly efficient: 330 Orcs emerged from the ashes, coalescing into The Horde — the youngest and most battle-hardened faction in Midland.

The Ghostar Figure

The Ghostar Figure

A 10-inch clear resin vinyl figure with a glowing internal skeleton, vibrant fire shell, and iconic electric blue glow. Holders burn a MidEvil and get the figure shipped to their door — already shipping globally.

Inspired by art toys depicting fire and themes of rebirth. Designed by TimeThief, produced with dual-cast molds — one for the skeleton, one for the flame shell. The factory added a slight magenta border that brought it all together.

"We don't know if this will be the final Ghostar figure we make, but one thing's for sure — it's not the last physical mechanic we're going to have with MidEvils."

The World of Midland

Map of Midland

The world of Midland is where every MidEvil lives — a place where medieval meets modern, where the fantastical sits alongside the everyday, and where every corner of the map hides a story waiting to be uncovered.

A realm built on the tension between the ancient and the contemporary — where knights wear hoodies and the lore runs deep.
It's not enough to hold an NFT and enjoy the PFP — the invitation is to deep dive into the lore, the world, and the community. The art project extends beyond the JPEG into thoughtful physical drops, burn narratives, and real-world moments.
